Attorney to address Carquinez Village Project

July 10, 2015 by Donna Beth Weilenman Leave a Comment

Benicia attorney Stephen Gizzi, managing partner of Gizzi and Reep, will speak July 16 at a meeting of the Carquinez Village Project, giving older residents a chance to ask legal questions of an expert.

The Carquinez Village Project is a local organization in the national “Village Movement,” part of a grassroots effort to help aging residents remain in their homes by making sure communities identify and have available the services they need to stay in their neighborhoods and live as independently as possible.

Gizzi has been Benicia’s vice mayor and a member of the City Council. He is president of the Solano County Bar Association Board of Directors.

Among the topics he will speak about are potential legal issues older adults may face. He also will answer questions posed by the audience.

The meeting also will be a chance for the public to learn about activities of the Carquinez Village Project.

The meeting will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday, July 16, in the Doña Benicia Room of Benicia Public Library, 150 East L St.
