May 7, 2015 by Donna Beth Weilenman Leave a Comment

Two men were hospitalized Wednesday afternoon after being shot in the vicinity of Mark and Taper streets north of State Highway 37, Vallejo, Lt. Kenny Park said.

The shootings were reported at 3:26 p.m., and one caller said a black Nissan may have been involved in the incident.

Officers found one shooting victim, a man in his 20s, on the 200 block of Mark Street, and another victim, a man in his 30s, a few blocks away on the 100 block of Leonard Street, Park said.

“Emergency rescue crews rendered medical assistance to both victims, and both were transported to area hospitals with serious injuries,” he said. “The male victim in his 30s is said to have sustained life-threatening injuries.”

He said the department would release no other information about the men.

Park said Vallejo police investigators are asking anyone with information about the shootings to call Detective Terry Poyser at 707-649-4080 or 707-648-4524 and reference case number 15-5766.
