A load of 25 gallons of roof coating spilled at the intersection of Admiral Callaghan Lane and Auto Club Drive in Vallejo on Thursday, Terry Schmidtbauer, assistant director of Solano County Department of Resource Management, told the Solano County Board of Supervisors.
The roof coating, being transported in five-gallon containers, fell from a truck in an accident discovered by the driver, he wrote, filing his notice in compliance with the requirements of Proposition 65, part of California’s Health and Safety Code.
Though the spill could have threatened surface water, Schmidtbauer wrote that the mess was cleaned up by those responsible.
