Four women entered a CVS pharmacy and shoplifted bags full of allergy medicine.
This incident occurred at the CVS on Columbus Parkway on Monday night. The women entered the store at 9:50 p.m. and began their robbery.
An employee tried to stop the shoplifters, but the suspects fled the scene. They left in a newer model, charcoal grey Nissan Altima with blue paper plates. Police arrived at the pharmacy five minutes later.
“We are checking with other jurisdictions to see if they have had any similar burglaries, or if they recognize any of the suspects,” Irma Widjojo, a management analyst for the Benicia Police Department, said. “We are also using social media to possibly develop leads from the public.”
Benicia police have yet to establish a motive for the theft.
If anyone recognizes any of the suspects from the surveillance footage at the Benicia Police Department’s Facebook page (Facebook.com/BeniciaPoliceDepartment), police encourage citizens to call (707) 745-3412 with information.
