A 28-year-old Benicia man who police said pointed a handgun at his roommate’s forehead Tuesday evening was arrested and charged with a felony.
Lt. Mike Daley said the 34-year-old roommate called police and said the man had pointed the gun at him about 6:46 p.m. after they had been arguing.
Officers arrived and spoke to both men, who said they had been roommates for about two years and had a dispute about the younger man moving out of the home.
The handgun was pulled during that argument, Daley said.
The roommate wasn’t hurt during the confrontation, Daley said. Police found a 9 mm handgun and a shotgun in the home.
Robert Joseph Lee, of 131 Sunset Circle, was arrested and charged with assaulting a person with a semiautomatic firearm, a felony, according to Solano County jail booking records.
He was taken to Solano County Jail in Fairfield, and bail was set at $75,000.
