Watching far too much political horse s*** on TV and the Internet lately,
my Mental Dream Machine
went into orbit last night
and came up with this piece
In a dramatic compromise
between “Feel the Bern” forces
and Hillary’s DNC-preferred status,
we all learned last night of the proposed
“Repeal of the Two Carrot Rule!”
This has been one of the most
egregious violations of free trade ever!
I immediately went down to my local deli’s display case
and sure enough, there they were:
open-faced two-carrot sandwiches
just like normal! Their transparent and edible,
fully bio-degradable, non-rubber-like band
still holding two baby carrots together in pairs
amidst the kale and other condiments
on trimmed-crust, multi-grain bread!
Apparently some earlier,
successful Agra-Business lobbyists had swung
both houses of a dysfunctional Congress
to pass food legislation to require baby carrots
to always be served in pairs on sandwiches,
always unfairly boosting their market share
in upscale Food Outlets!
Unfair! This had always Pissed Me Off for Eons!
But No, this was only a proposed PLANK
in the political processing,
it had yet to become repealed into LAW,
and God only knows how that would play out
in the soon-coming Racist /Misogynist Donald Trump
and Hillary’s Word-War Debates coming up
throughout the Fall of 2016! Gag!
Where were the Simpler
Construction-Profit-Making Great War Years
of Dullard Bush & Evil Cheney?
