Poetry Corner: Peter Bray “After the election…”

November 11, 2016 by Peter Bray 3 Comments

peter bray

After the election,
I grieved like a puppy
that had lost its tail,
heard the acceptance and
concession speeches
and went on my way
to see a customer,
scheduled new work
and then headed to Nation’s
for breakfast.
Good luck, World and America,
your new boy thinks
Global Warming is a hoax,
his majority colleagues in Congress
deny science,
and there is your challenge,
do something wonderful
with your new boy.
Nov. 28 he’ll be in court
to face Trump University
Fraud charges and in December
to face under-age rape charges.
Do something wonderful
with your new boy.
Good luck.

Snopes has a write up on the rape charge against Trump. Open minded people woul benefit from reading it. Her charges were previously thrown out of Court because of false information contained in the suit.

Welcome back, Mr. Bray. Thanks, for your usual cogent comments.

I worry when the potential head of the EPA responds as such, “I’m just giving you the informed layman’s perspective.”, when it comes to matters of science. It’s akin to an FBI director claiming they have no criminal justice experience, but, they watched every season of CSI Miami.
