She parks down at the Marina
Where she sits on waters edge.
In a lovely town, with lovely people
A modern day Pleasantville,
Ne’er a soul dreads.
On a hot summer day
Or a cool summer night
It’s a haven for families
And lovers alike.
Pardon me boy, was this the California Choo Choo,
780 Line?
Now can you give me the time?
Something tried to keep us a part
But in the end we prevailed
Such a perfect Depot
At such a perfect marina,
Akin to a perfect Sail.
Setting adrift with full speed and full throttle.
I really can’t explain my love for Benicias’ Depot,
in real time.
I wish I could use Morse Code.
Or maybe i’ll just put a message in a bottle.
And maybe after many, many years
Some lonely soul will find;
and read the message within
A message for all mankind.
A message of unity
A message of growth
A message of tolerance
A message with a first class ticket
on the train heading to
Benicias’ Family Depot!!!!
