The Solano County Fair wrapped up its five-day extravaganza in Vallejo on Sunday, providing multiple days of exhibits, rides, food, music and adorable animals. The Benicia Herald’s reporters were invited on Saturday, and they took several photographs of the festivities. Below are just a handful.

- Juarez, Mexico band Metalachi performed exactly what their name implies: mariachi covers of classic metal and hard rock songs. On Saturday afternoon, patrons got to enjoy amusing banter by the group as well as corrido renditions of “Crazy Train” by Ozzy Osbourne, “Welcome to the Jungle” by Guns ‘N Roses, “Run to the Hills” by Iron Maiden, “Living on a Prayer” by Bon Jovi, “War Pigs” by Black Sabbath, “Holy Diver” by Dio, “Rock You LIke a Hurricane” by The Scorpions and a whole lot more.
