For the past week, the Benicia High School Panther Band has been down in New Orleans for Mardi Gras. They marched in the Krewe of Alla Parade on Sunday, performed at Dr. King Charter School and Canal Street, took part in workshops at Tulane University and played in the Krewe of Druids. They also took in a bit of history as they walked down the French Quarter and visited Laura Plantation and Oak Alley Plantation. (Photo courtesy of Brianna Kleinschmidt)

I love seeing the Benicia HS Panther Band continuing their “award-winning” performances. Director Patrick Martin is doing an excellent job and is a credit to the Benicia community.

    Sincerely,
