Photo: Radio station takes over Benicia High gym

March 26, 2017 by Editor Leave a Comment

San Francisco top 40 station 99.7 Now stopped by Benicia High School at lunch Friday as part of its High School Takeover program, where the station stops by Bay Area high schools to play current hit songs, take pictures and do giveaways. The event was originally scheduled to be held in the quad, but due to the rain, it was moved to the gym. However, that did not dampen the spirits of Benicia High students, who packed the gym and danced to some of today’s biggest hits as evening deejay Strawberry pumped up the crowd. Some students even got to be featured on the radio at 8 p.m. that night. (Photo courtesy of Brianna Kleinschmidt)
