Photo: Here, there be former Dragons

(Left to right) Nataschia Wibben, Clare Rodgers, Karyna Mitchell and Alya Ruiz were among the 18 soon-to-be Benicia High School graduates who returned to their elementary school alma mater Robert Semple yesterday as part of Benicia High’s 2nd annual Senior Parade, in which seniors return to their former elementary schools to answer questions of current grade schoolers and provide words of encouragement for their futures. At Semple, BHS students entered the Multi-Purporse Room, received high-fives from current elementary schoolers and delivered short speeches about their time as Semple Dragons, discussed which teachers influenced them the most and where they will be going after graduation. They also took questions from current Dragons about what high school is like, and the elementary schoolers ended the ceremony by singing Robert Semple’s theme song to the graduating Panthers.
