This weekend on June 30 and July 1 is the Solano County Fair. Attractions this year include the Solano County Mini Maker Faire (formerly the Benicia Mini Maker Faire), STEAM activities by the Solano County Office of Education, a giant sandbox courtesy of First 5 Solano, traditional Mexican dance by Ballet Folklorico, bellydancing by the Grateful Sirens and Dancers of the Desert, waltz and line dancing by the Chic Steps, Hawaiian dancing by O’Hana O’Lokomaika’i, Filipino martial arts by Island Warriors, an R&B concert by Jake Yoshino, country music by 19 Hand Horse and more. There will also be livestock exhibits, competitive arts & crafts, games, rides and more. The fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and admission is free although some exhibits may require an extra ticket and parking is $5 per vehicle.
