The Northern California Special Olympics Summer Games Law Enforcement Torch Run began in Benicia yesterday morning. The run began in 9th Street Park and made its way to the entrance of the Benicia State Recreation Area, where it was passed off to the Vallejo Police Department and will travel all throughout Solano County. Carrying the torch is Erick Silva, a track and field athlete who will participating in the games at UC Davis beginning Saturday. For more information on the games, go to SONC.org.
