Benicia High School’s Advanced Dance students perform to J Balvin and Willy William’s hit “Mi Gente” for the Fall Dance Show “El Amor Vive,” which opens tomorrow. The Day of the Dead-themed show tells the story of a young woman who is led into an alternate world where relatives dance back to life, and she learns a valuable lesson. Throughout the show are dance numbers, where Benicia High’s Advanced Dance students perform choreographed routines to such songs as A Great Big World’s “Say Something,” Vance Joy’s “Mess is Mine” and The Verve’s “Bitter Sweet Symphony.” The show will be performed at 7 p.m. from Nov. 2 to 4 in Benicia High’s Performing Arts Building, located at 1101 Military West. Tickets are $15 for adults and $8 for students on Thursday and Friday. All tickets are $20 for Saturday. There will also be a silent auction and gala which includes a free raffle ticket and concession item. Children under 12 will be able to partake in a free face painting session.
