To see her is to take a sudden chill. Farnsworth’s Dance Academy’s Cruella de Vil-inspired mannequin won first place in the “People’s Choice” category in Benicia Main Street’s 2017 Scarecrow. Trailing just behind Cruella were the City’s Attorney Office with a scarecrow “six feet under in contracts” in second place and Training Loft 714’s unicorn girl in third place. The scarecrows will be coming down soon, but to see how other businesses demonstrated their creativity in this year’s contest, go to Benicia Main Street’s Facebook page at Facebook.com/beniciamainst and click on the album titled “10th Annual Scarecrow Contest 2017.” (Photo courtesy of Benicia Main Street)
