A San Jose State student and Vallejo resident was declared missing Thursday morning after parking his car in Benicia.

Kevin Redrico, 23, was last seen at approximately 9 a.m. on April 6 leaving his dark red 2014 Honda Accord after parking it at 1898 Park Road and then heading southbound on foot. His cellphone was left in the car.

The Benicia Police Department searched the area where Redrico’s car was located and was unable to locate him. The case is now being investigated by the Vallejo Police Department. A search party was formed to patrol the area on Thursday evening, and several searches have been done since.

Redrico is described a Filipino male with black hair and brown eyes. He weighs 160 pounds and is 5 feet, 6 inches. He was wearing all black the last time he was seen and was believed to have had a red Herschel bi-fold wallet, purple Pokemon keychain, prescription bottles with his name and keys to his Honda on his person.

Redrico was a secretary for Diablo Valley College’s music department. As of 2017, he was studying music education at San Jose State as well as serving as a music director of Poison Apple Productions, a Martinez-based youth theater company. He also has been involved in music and drama for a number of years. He recently acted in the Palo Alto Players’ production of “The Little Mermaid” as well as Tri-Valley Repertory Theatre’s production of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s “In the Heights.” He also is a member of the a cappella group SanFran6, who performed on NBC’s “The Sing Off” in 2014.

Anybody with any information is asked to call the Vallejo Police Department at 648-4321.
