After much wrangling with design and logistical details, Lucca Bar and Grill is happy to announce that it has opened its new, outdoor seating area adjacent to the restaurant at 439 First St. The restaurant has developed a new menu specific to the outdoor area – outdoor customers may order from the outdoor menu and indoor diners may order from the indoor, restaurant menu, though the two menus are not interchangeable.
Lucca welcomed its first patrons to the new venue on Wednesday and presented its first music night there Thursday. The area will be open to the public Wednesday through Friday from 4 to 9 p.m., with live music ending at 8 p.m.
Ken Cooper will be performing at Lucca tonight. Saturday will feature Todd Stritter, and on Sunday from 2:30 to 5:30 Dizzy Lewis will perform.
For more information, look for Lucca Bar and Grill on Facebook, or call the restaurant at 745-0943.

Save your bucks until this beer garden actually has a liquor license! We went here on July 1st and were told they don’t have permission to serve beer, and you cannot buy one at Lucca’s and bring it over. What a joke- opening a beer garden without a liquor license. The Herald article should have included this very key fact!

You are correct. But was there not pictures posted on Facebook of folks drinking and enjoying that outdoor pleasure. It appears the manager posted pictures of possible illegal drinking. Not good. I sure hoe the ABC did not see those pictures. I love Lucca’s and the owners. Lets all just hope it gets open very soon. We all want to enjoy the place. Lucca’s is a credit to this city. I sure hope when it is open we ALL SUPPORT THEM BIG TIME.. WONDETRFUL LOCAL FOLKS. LETS ALL SUPPORTY THEM.
