Electoral College debate
I am not a Trump supporter, but I do believe in reason. According to most news accounts, Clinton won the popular vote by about 2 million votes, and many believe we should change the system so she wins. However, she won California by about 3.4 million votes (source: www.cnn.com/election). That means Trump won the rest of America by about 1.4 million votes if we discount California votes. Do we really think that the rest of America should be controlled by several California cities?
Fortunately, the electoral system prevents the tyranny of the majority and is working as it should.

Lund has it right
Kudos, Dennis Lund for his Dec. 1 piece “Trump victory resulted from failures at many levels.” That was one of the best analyses of Trump’s victory I have seen.
The silent majority have finally risen up. I now have hope for our country’s future.
