Keep Carter in Benicia
It was with great dismay I learned that Carter Rankin at Carter’s Biz Cafes in the Commandant’s has lost his lease. I do not know the story, I just want to say that he has been an invaluable asset to our great town. Every transaction in which I was involved was presented with respect, elegance and the utmost in “how-can-I-help”? He has pulled together some amazing events– the Film Festival comes to mind– and has knocked himself out to provide excellent service, food and staffing for hosting occasions like “Meet Your Local Officials.”
His attitude, grace and style is a huge plus for Benicia and I would hate to lose him. He brings quality people to Benicia. He provides innovative ideas. He is an asset that is hard to equal. Is there any way that we can help him to stay in Benicia?

Kudos to Grayson
I want to thank Assemblymember Tim Grayson for his work to get Caltrans to clean up interstates 80, 680 and 780 in Solano County. I have personally gone to Caltrans to attempt to get them to clean the freeways in Solano County and then contacted Assemblymember Grayson’s office to ask for help. Assemblymember Grayson has made a commitment to get Caltrans to clean Solano’s freeways of debris and trees and I truly appreciate his attention to this matter.
I look forward to continued collaboration with Assemblymember Grayson on the issues impacting Solano County.
