Letters: A successful Waterfront Festival

August 8, 2017 by Editor 5 Comments

A successful Waterfront Festival

Benicia Main Street would like to thank all of the volunteers who helped out with our annual Benicia Waterfront Festival, which took place Saturday, July 29 and Sunday, July 30. Rotary Club of Benicia handled the very busy beer booth, Soroptimist International of Benicia oversaw pouring at the wine booth, Coldwell Banker Solano Pacific worked tirelessly at the ticket booth and entry gate, and a number of other volunteers helped at ID Check, volunteer check-in, and online ticket sales check-in. Truly the event couldn’t have been the success that it was without all of these great volunteers.
Benicia Main Street would also like to extend a special thank-you to Benjamin Miramontes, who gave the festival a wonderful review in the Herald.

What was the attendance on Saturday. How many out of towners by zip code. Thank you.

How could they know the number of out of towners? I don’t recall being asked my zip code on entry.

I counted people who looked like they were from Benicia and “outsiders”. Percentage wise it came out 68.3% Benicians, 29.7% outsiders, and 3% who were too damn difficult to categorize. Of course these numbers are very subjective. Does that help Bob?

Yes, it was a fine event. I attended on Sunday. All three bands were great! Good selection of vendors. The shade cover is great for those who don’t tolerate too much sun.
    Thank you Main Street!
    Looking forward to next year.
