Strawbridge puts people over politics
The Benicia City Council race is supposed to be nonpartisan. However, it has been a practice these past several years to seek your party’s endorsement.
These are difficult times in our country. It seems that all the press goes very far to the left or far to the right.
I know Christina Strawbridge as a friend and fellow business owner on First Street. She has been an advocate for the downtown and business, starting the Farmers Market and other successful events during her time at Benicia Main Street. She drove the tourism effort and helped form the Downtown Business Alliance business improvement district which literally lit up the downtown. As chair of the Economic Development Board, she aggressively lobbied for more attention and funding toward businesses throughout the city.
Through the years, Christina has raised tens of thousands of dollars benefiting many local nonprofits, including the Community Action Council, Benicia State Parks Association, Benicia Old Town Theatre Group, Relay for Life and Soroptimists of Benicia.
Her commitment to the community is not far left or far right. She represents all of Benicia in her actions and accomplishments.
