No to Regional Measure 3, yes to Gizzi and Thurmond
Regional Measure 3 is a bad deal for Solano County residents. RM3 will raise the bridge tolls by $3 over several years. This will impact the working class people of Solano County who are forced to commute for their jobs. Even worse, Solano County residents will pay 14 percent of the bridge tolls, yet we will only receive 10 percent of the toll revenues. Silicon Valley on the other hand, will receive 15 percent of the toll revenues while Silicon Valley residents will only pay 2 percent of the tolls. It is not right for Solano County residents to subsidize Silicon Valley. Please vote no on Regional Measure 3.
For Solano County judge, I recommend Steve Gizzi. Gizzi has heard over 4,000 cases as a Judge Pro Tem. He has worked and lived in Solano County for decades and has the experience and the temperament to be our next judge. Please vote for Steve Gizzi for Solano County judge.
For State Superintendent of Public Instruction, I recommend Tony Thurmond. Thurmond grew up in challenging circumstances and used the public schools to work his way to a better life. He has worked his whole life to provide a better future for our children. Thurmond is the only candidate who will provide our teachers with the support they need to see our children thrive. Please vote for Tony Thurmond for State Superintendent of Public Instruction.
On Tuesday June 5– or earlier by mail– please vote No on Regional Measure 3, for Steve Gizzi for Judge and Tony Thurmond for State Superintendent of Public Instruction.
