Lady Bruins sweep home opener against El Cerrito

Caroline Gallagher had 14 kills and five digs as the St. Patrick-St. Vincent High girls varsity volleyball team swept visiting El Cerrito, 25-17, 25-13, 25-13, last Thursday in SPSV’s home opener.

Makahla Bolko added 11 kills, six digs and four aces for the Lady Bruins, who improved to 8-5 overall and 1-1 in the Tri-County Athletic League. Kamryn Mitchell had 14 assists and nine digs, Chloe Ortega finished with 13 assists and four digs, Candice Turk had four kills and one block, and Alondra Magallanes had six digs and three aces.

SPSV plays at Salesian on Tuesday and at Benicia on Wednesday.
