A person calling cellphones claiming to be an employee of the Solano County Jury Department and requesting personal information is an impostor, the Solano County Superior Court said in a release Thursday.
County citizens have claimed that they were called by a person identifying himself as a law enforcement officer with the jury department claiming that residents had missed their jury date. The caller would then request personal information, including the citizen’s address and Social Security number.
As the Solano Superior Court’s website makes clear, the courts do not ask past or potential jurors for information like credit card, bank account or Social Security numbers.
