Jeff Burkhart’s “Rhyme and Reason”: LUCCA 439 1st Street, Benicia, CA

Pub Shot

Shrimp and oysters on my plate
My supper was to be their fate
They are gone but not forgot
Cooked on a grill not in a pot

Benicia, Cal. On E and 1st
Go fill your bellies, quench your thirst
Young and old and canine too
Don’t sit home and sing the blues

Music playing people eating
Languishing on hand-made seating
How much fun can someplace be?
I suggest you come and see

Gals and guys they hired as staff
Will serve you fast and make you laugh
Steaks and fish and pasta too
Key lime pie and cakes for you

If you’re living on a budget
You won’t even have to fudge it
Wine and beer and fine Sambuca
You can get it all at Lucca
