Well, Christmas Day is finally upon us, and my small gift to the world is delivered and done with the installment of today’s poem. I would like to thank each and every one of you stalwart souls for reading this assemblage of material. And as for those of you that have left a kind word, I say; thank you.
The point of it all is the underlying principal and guiding light that drives me and the true spirit of this special season. This is a time of understanding, compassion, giving and joy. A time to honor the past and look toward the future. If my words have caused you to feel anything, I hope that you can hold onto it going forward for as long as possible. As Ebenezer Scrooge once said in the aftermath of his epiphany; “I will honor Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all the year.” Yes my friends hold these feelings of this season close to your heart as long as you can. It’s good for your soul. Like St. Nick himself, I promise to return next year and give you all another dose. Peace, prosperity, health and of course; Merry Christmas.
Fare thee well.

Christmas Presence
On Christmas Day when I awake, and realize it’s here
I think about the way it’s changed, for me each passing year
Fun and games and shopping, and the gifts were what it was
But as I age I realize, it’s something else because
I unwrap material things, until all that remains
Are loved ones standing by my side, who prop me up again
Friends and family teach me, what fuels the Yuletide’s pleasance
The gift that means the most to me, is Christmas in their presence
Merry Christmas and a Happy and Prosperous New Year!
