As the mouse in the wall, poked his eye through the hole
He saw Mother and Father inside
Preparing the toys, and the cookies and milk
For when Jolly St. Nick would arrive
So he waited and watched, until they went to sleep
He looked out to the left and the right
And then finally he crept, and he snuck as they slept
To the feast of his Christmas delight
With a sip of the milk, and a gleam in his eye
And a cookie he held in his paws
He ate knowing well, that the children would think
They were eaten by old Santa Claus
But he didn’t notice, beneath the front curtain
The tip of a foot in a boot
Of a jolly old fellow, all dressed up in red
Whose pink cheeks had a dusting of soot
He finally finished, and snuck off to bed
The old chap, left his gifts, ‘round the house
Then he chuckled and winked, as he shot up the chimney
Like the wind, and as quiet as the mouse
So you see that’s the reason, that each Christmas season
St. Nick comes to visit us all
Just to spread his good cheer, this great time of the year
To all folks and one mouse in a wall
