On every 9/11, we take pause to beckon back
To mourn the loss of innocents, by cowardly attacks
In hopelessness we watched aghast, as planes attacked the towers
The structures burned and bent and groaned, this was their final hour
First responders tried to help, they fought with all their worth
Souls soared into Heaven as, the bodies fell to earth
Vile, suicidal servants, with their hearts so full of hate
Let’s focus on the victims lost, that solemn deadly date
This poem is dedicated to all the souls who were lost on 9/11/2001
in New York City, Washington DC and in Shanksville, Pennsylvania
