■ Authorities say burglars arrested at Lake Herman Road, caught with stolen goods
California Highway Patrol officers have arrested two men they say are tied to several Vacaville burglaries as well as the theft of two vehicles, Officer Christopher Parker said Friday.
The arrests took place Monday night after the agency was notified about 8 p.m. of a suspicious vehicle at the Lake Herman Road vista point near Interstate 680, he said.
Parker said the arriving officers found two men who were associated with the theft of two vehicles.
After detaining the men, the officers learned the pair may have been involved in multiple Vacaville burglaries, too, Parker said.
He said the officers recovered a large amount of property they believe had been stolen, as well as the two vehicles.
“CHP investigators and the Vacaville Police Department are working together to identify and hopefully reunite the owners with their property,” Parker said.
He didn’t provide descriptions of either the vehicles or the recovered property.
Parker identified the two suspects as Michael Nevis, 23, of Brentwood, and Miguel Campos, 20, of Pittsburg, and said they were booked into Solano County Jail, Fairfield, on accusations of possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of stolen property, impersonating another person and violation of probation.
