Benicia High’s varsity volleyball team maintained possession of first place in the Solano County Athletic Conference after a 25-22, 25-18, 25-18 victory over visiting Bethel last Thursday.
Jessica Blakeman had 11 kills and 12 digs for the Lady Panthers (12-2, 10-1 Solano County Athletic Conference). Freshman Sara McBride added 16 kills and Karah Fisher finished with 37 assists. Other standouts for Benicia included Ramona Glatzel (12 digs) and Emily Maher (seven kills).
Benicia hosts last-place Vallejo on Tuesday.
