ANGEL ANTONIO shot a 39 for Benicia and shared medalist honors with teammate Sofia Young on Thursday.

Sofia Young and Angel Antonio each shot a 39 to share medalist honors as Benicia High’s girls golf team cruised past Bethel, 247-338, last Thursday at Blue Rock Springs.

It was the third 39 in four matches for Antonio, who is only a freshman. Young has been a medalist in each of the last two matches. Jordan Whiting-Morales shot a personal-best 50 for the Lady Panthers, who improved to 4-0 in the Solano County Athletic Conference. Lacey Tsutsui added a 55 and Naomi Kenney rounded out Benicia’s scorecard with a 64.

Benicia hosts Vanden at Mare Island on Tuesday.
