FIRST STREET SHOPPERS CAN WIN “Downtown Dollars” by looking for the picture of author Jack London through March 31, during Benicia Main Street’s Downtown Antiques Vintage and Collectibles promotion.
A framed picture of the author will have a key word on the back, and those who email that word and the location where it’s seen to Benicia Main Street at info@beniciamainstreet.org will be entered into a drawing.
In addition, those who make purchases at that merchant’s store and show the receipt at Benicia Main Street, 90 First St., will get double entries into the drawing.
Those interested may call Benicia Main Street, 707-745-9791.
Moschetti produces local coffee
Those who prefer to “shop locally” can add coffee to the products made in Solano County.
In fact, Moschetti Inc. has been a Vallejo-based artisan coffee roaster since 1990, and supplies their packaged coffee to more than 300 places in the San Francisco Bay Area.
In Benicia, coffee drinkers can find Moschetti served at The Camellia Tea Room, Capitol Café, High Rise Café, The Loft, Palermo’s, Sailor Jack’s, The Rellik, Venticello’s and The Workshop.
The company, open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., produces fresh, small-batch, slow-roasted specialty coffee using exotic and premium beans, with each batch calibrated to develop peak flavor.
Over the past five years Moschetti has been using its full-production coffee roasting plant from 9 a.m. to noon each Saturday for retail sales and as a community coffee tasting site, attracting visitors from throughout the East Bay and Marin and Sonoma counties, as well as Solano County artists, musicians, poets and farmers, who have been using Moschetti as a free venue.
Moschetti Inc. is at 11 Sixth St., Vallejo. Its website is www.moschetti.com.
