JAN PRUITT, WHO FOR 11 YEARS sold her varieties of fudge at Benicia Certified Farmers Market, still is selling the confection.
Pruitt, who lived in Benicia for 25 years, moved in 2012 to Spartansburg, S.C., for her and her husband’s health. She sells at that city’s farmers market on Saturdays.
“I was the only one who made the sugar-free fudge, and 40 percent of my business was this,” she told The Herald by email.
“I would like very much to get back some of my business from Benicia,” she said, expressing hope that some of her former customers would be contacting her.
“I still offer the same wonderful suger-free fudge, along with other kinds, too,” she said.
“My prices have remained the same, $5 per quarter pound, $9 for a half pound and $17 for a whole pound,” she said.
Buyers also pay two-day priority shipping costs, such as $5.95 to send a small box.
Those interested may call Pruitt at 707-319-3899 or at 864-285-0765. Her email is GrannyJansHomeMadeFudge@ gmail.com.
