A color specialist from Tigi, an international distributor of hair care and cosmetic products, will give color and style consultations at Fantastic Sams Hair Salon, 75 Solano Square, on Aug. 12, Karen Love said.
Jessica Johnson will visit the salon and join the salon’s Tigi-trained stylists in providing the consultations, Love said.
“Tigi is the color line of choice at Fantastic Sams,” she said, explaining that the company’s products are preferred because of its wide color selections, high shine and conditioning.
She said Johnson’s visit is well timed, especially for area high school students who want a new look before school starts.
Fantastic Sams is one of North America’s largest full-service hair care franchises, with more than 1,260 salons.
The consultations will take place from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Aug. 12 at the Fantastic Sams Hair Salon, 75 Solano Square. Those interested may call the salon at 707-745-1028.
Children personalize beverage cans on USS Iowa
Youngsters visiting the Battleship Iowa, the famous vessel that once was moored in the Suisun Bay Reserve Fleet until it was awarded to a group that moved the ship to Los Angeles, personalized cans of Coca Cola Saturday.
“Coke is a great partner of Battleship Iowa,” said Andrew Mason, the ship’s attractions manager.
The beverage company launched its “Share-a-Coke” promotional campaign earlier this year, adding names to its logo. Children boarding the Iowa on Saturday personalized the labels of Coke mini-cans during a free party accompanied by music and other entertainment.
The Iowa was commissioned in 1943 and was the lead ship of her class. Since July 2012, the ship has been on display in Los Angeles, where it has received about 400,000 visitors, Mason said.
