THE BENICIA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE’S Business Industrial Park Association quarterly membership meeting and luncheon, 11:45 a.m. Nov. 6 at Benicia Yacht Club, 400 East Second St., will feature Liisa Stark, director of public affairs and corporate relations, who will speak on the history of the Union Pacific Railroad, the UP national and local network, and UP projects that support goods movement.

The Chamber’s next “Business After Hours” event will be Nov. 21 at 5:30 p.m. at The Loft Wine Bar, 280 First St. Chamber members, employees and guests are admitted free. Nonmembers may attend for $15.
The gathering is an opportunity to network. Refreshments will be served and those attending will have an opportunity to win prizes.
Nominations are also being accepted for the Outstanding Business of the Year. Deadline is Dec. 20. Those making nominations must tell the Chamber in 250 words or less why the nominated business deserves the award.
Criteria are the business’s commitment in supporting Chamber activities; ethics and integrity in business practices; and demonstration of leadership and excellence through customer service, employee development, safety, creativity and innovation.
Winners of the 21st annual Outstanding Business Awards will be announced at the Chamber’s installation of officers banquet Jan. 24 at the Benicia Clock Tower.
Huckleberry’s opens In Southampton
Huckleberry’s, a restaurant that specializes in California cooking with a Southern flair, has moved into 800 Southampton Road, in the Southampton Shopping Center. The restaurant is open for breakfast and lunch from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily.
