We recently completed the “warmest” weekend in history, and we are just around the corner for another holiday weekend.
I want to say thanks to each of you who have taken the time to share your experiences with our readers.
Several of you have shared that you, a family member or a friend has received service from our “Meals on Wheels” local charity. We did some research on this great organization and discovered that they have been providing various services to our seniors since 1977.
The most talked about service that they provide our in-home delivery of their tasty meals (lunch) to our seniors free of charge. Nobody wants to be hungry.
Where does the money come from to pay for this service? Occasionally, they receive grants, but the majority of their funding comes from donations, both corporate as well as individuals like us.
Our family business Family Funding will be talking with the fundraising staff about our community fundraising program to support our nonprofit local charities for the last quarter of 2017.
We are going to conclude this column by asking you to provide us with the contact information of your favorite charity so we can approach them about their need of fundraising assistance.
Please remember to try and help one person each day. That person as well as yourself will greatly appreciate your efforts.
