Advisory: Storm/Sandbag info from Solano OES

Message from Solano County Office of Emergency Services:

The National Weather Service is forecasting a series of storms with the potentially most significant storm in this series to push through much of the state Wednesday afternoon through Thursday bringing the most widespread impacts this week

 • Heavy rain may cause debris flows on recent burn scars, rock slides on canyon roads and areas of urban flooding

 • Strong winds may cause travel impacts and areas of downed trees, power outages and property damage

 • Mountain travel will be significantly impacted over the Sierra with several feet of snow likely

Sandbags and sand can be picked up at the following locations:

Benicia

Corporation Yard located at 2400 East Second Street

East E Street parking lot (across the street from Benicia Yacht Club)

Vallejo

Vallejo Sanitation and Flood Control located at 45 Solano Avenue

To report flooding, call 644-8949 at any time. For the latest flood info, call 551-4474 or visit www.vsfcd.com

Fairfield

Empty sandbags will be made available Mondays through Thursdays, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Fairfield’s Public Works Corporation Yard, 420 Gregory Street. There is a 10-bag limit. Sand will be available at two locations: the corner of Pittman and Cordelia Roads and the southeast corner of Allan Witt Park off Woolner Avenue. Bring your own shovels; these sandbagging locations are “self-serve.”

Suisun City

701 Civic Center Blvd, behind police department

Vacaville

 **only active in the event of a flooding

Irene Larson Park, 1800 Alamo Drive (please bring proof of residence and shovel)

Various city locations may be made available if flooding occurs.

Rio Vista

1 Main Street

Firehouse -350 Main Street sand bags only

Dixon

Sand bags are located at 205 Ford Way

Sand is located at old Ace Hardware (N. Jackson and West A Street)

 Unincorporated areas of Solano County    

 CORDELIA FIRE DISTRICT

Corner of Rockville Rd and Suisun Valley Road

MONTEZUMA FIRE DISTRICT

Jericho Dredging located at 1285 Collinsville Road

SUISUN FIRE DISTRICT
